With the theme of “Rock Power Tackles Climate Crisis”, the Preserve Hua Hin Group and the Hua Hin municipality are hosting the event in honor of the 83rd Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King. To be held on Saturday, 11 December 2010 in the public park on top of Hin Lek Fai hill, the evening’s list of performers includes the famous Kaleidoscope band, the 60s rock-n-rollers Tang Kay Rumble Band, the Hin Lek Fai band, soloist Surasee Ithikul, the Diggity Remedy and other returning local bands. Concert T-shirts are provided for all attendees and complimentary food will be provided by the local hotels and restaurants in Hua Hin.

For the third consecutive year, the carbon dioxide emissions generated from this event will be offset by a carbon credit donation from the international carbon asset management firm, South Pole Ltd. Taken into account are all the carbon producing activities related to the concert including guests’ transportation, electricity used for light and sound, food and beverage supply, waste, etc. Also, 150 mangrove trees were planted at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park to commemorate the event.

There will be pre-show entertainment from 5:30 pm on. Expect the main show to begin around 7:30 pm. It’s always a bit loose.

The view from Hin Lek Fai is very nice as the sun goes down, so I’d recommend arriving on the earlier side.
