Smoriang Pub, South-Central Hua Hin. In the small soi that runs between San Paolo Hospital and the Grand night market. You’ll find Smoriang on the left, shortly before you hit the railroad tracks. Music nightly

Souay Vista Social Club, soi 94. From Petchkasem, turn onto 94 and proceed over the railroad tracks. At the point that the soi appears to end, turn right and then immediately left to continue. On the right about 150 meters after this ‘jog’.

Stonehead Pub. A retro pub with dark oak and classic lamps, with an alluring charm and cozy atmosphere. Located in the 55th Corner complex, 2nd floor, at the corner of Petchkasem Road and Soi 55 (aka Chomsin Road) at the traffic light. Music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Tel. 032 512 320.

Tau Mai Music Restaurant. On Petchkasem Road, North of the King’s palace. Proceed past the Index Living Mall and look for it on the right (ocean side). Signage in Thai, so have an ear (and an eye) out for the music. Live music (and good food) nightly from 7 pm.

Thonglor Pub. Soi 51, between Petchkasem and Naebkehardt Roads. Live music every night. Currently very popular.

Usapasang Pub (signage in Thai only). Petchkasem Road, inland side, south of the Market Village. Live music every night.

Vic Hua Hin Theatre and Patravadi Performing Arts Center, Nongkae (Southern Hua Hin). An astonishing complex on 30 rai of land just 5 minutes south of Hua Hin center. To get there, proceed south on Petchkasem Road past the Market Village shopping mall. Take the ‘flyover’ to Prachuab Kirikhan and Pranburi. After the flyover, pass the Centennial Park and night market on your right. The entrance is on the right, about 500 metres past the flyover.
